BT & EE ?

HI all

Just seeing my contract ends in a few months so seeing what deals are about.

However last time I was on there was a big push to move to EE service but on the site this has totally gone, not even when I click "Deals for you" no mention of EE at all now.  Has the push for migration changed or am I missing something.

I was only wondering as was considering moving to EE as they have a better router (wifi 7) although there are lots of cheaper alternatives  now also.

Anyway welcome thoughts on EE migration

Matt

Was abandoned some time ago

They are more subtle these days in getting you to switch

@mattyjoyce71  Chances are, come renewal, you’ll be guided to migrate to EE, especially if you enter a conversation with the undoubtedly combined BT/EE call centre. You can specifically state your case to remain a BT customer if you wish, but you’ll just end up staying bound to the now technologically ancient SH2 hub. Entirely your choice.

Re: BT & EE ?

Ah right, thanks, I don't actually mind switching but will call them nearer the time and say I want to switch but need a good deal, well at least the new hub, can not believe they are still using sh2 in 2026

@mattyjoyce71  It isn’t just BT still handing out the SH2, Plusnet are still sending them out. Must have a warehouse full of ‘em 😆

Re: BT & EE ?

So I have just checked the EE site and there is a sale on, seems a lot cheaper than BT which is odd

900 MB with Smart Hub 7 Plus (core) is only £31.99 a month, BT is £59, am I missing something ?

also our Sims are with EE and they are going up but they do cheaper deals,

Think I need to call them

@mattyjoyce71  Don’t forget to add £4 onto the price, it will increase at the end of March 26.

Re: BT & EE ?

well spoke to a nice guy at EE who gave me a better deal on the sims which is good, however he could only see the deals that BT show (which is £1 more expensive), even though on the site the sale prices £31.99, very poor.

Perhaps it is because I am in contract till Sept, sigh, ah well

Yes, they're never going to offer a reduction that much with a contract on there

Re: BT & EE ?

As an existing customer, you're never going to be offered as good a deal as BT and EE offer new customers, despite their "price promise". And you don't count as a new customer by moving from BT to EE!
