Purely an observation.
Although I have quite a period left on my contract I do look from time to time to see if my existing package can be recontracted for a lower price.
Up until a couple of days go the price offered is the same as my existing contract.
However yesterday and today the price showing is £19.99 more than what I'm currently paying which initially was an odd situation until it dawned on me as to a possible reason.
The £19.99 must be the fact I have line rental saver which reduces my existing bills by this amount each month.
I wonder why the prices showing for the upgrade does not take into account I have line rental saver? The line rental saver was takn into account until two days ago?
I've had exactly the same, £19.99. I think they must be using ChatGPT for their marketing.🤣
At least I'm not the only one.
I wonder if this is something the mods could comment on, not specific to my case but more generally as to why line rental saver isn't taken into account when giving an upgrade price?
I was on BT chat today (I think it was with retentions) in an effort to get clarifiction on my original posting on this thread regarding non inclusion of line rental saver on a package offer.
In our discussion BT was asking if I wanted to go ahead to recontract for a new 24 months even though I have quite a period left on my current contract. I said I would have a think to recontract after 1 March, they queried why the 1 March I then mentioned this would avoid the 2023 price increase. Customer service were quite surprised by this as it isn't something which BT have communicated to customers.
The 1 March was mentioned in another thread a day or so ago as being the date when you can renew etc and avoid the price increase. So how valid is the 1 March date and what was the official source for this date?
