Broadband contract

I phoned about a letter from BT about the imminent end of my contract. They found me a scheme that cost less than now, and btw I was due an upgrade (didn't need it, current speed and reliability fine for my needs, but if it's free... so I agreed). This resulted in receiving 7 emails. Well, today I receive 5 parcels of stuff made in China and Vietnam and more cardboard than I've ever seen in one delivery. All I wanted was to start another contract under the similar conditions and I can't be hassled with all this stuff and more things to plug in.

My question is, can I return all this stuff, cancel the upgrade and keep my existing service/router etc?

When I calm down about the waste of time, money and resource I may phone them again but in the interim, thanks for any advice.

Re: Broadband contract

Without knowing what 'the boxes of stuff' are, its impossible to say.

I can't imagine why you have 5 parcels, is there any clue on the boxes as to what they contain?

What was in the email regarding the revised contract?

Re: Broadband contract

Simple answer is yes

Distance selling gives you fourteen days to cool off and cancel if need be.

Contact BT and they'll send you a returns bag so it'll cost you nothing in postage.
