@birchp

You would have to start a new broadband only contract. The saving is only about £3-5 plus any call packages that you have.

If you try to cancel the phone service you have, then that would cease your broadand.

Are you attempting to become ( new ) BT customer , or you are an existing BT customer and are trying to remove the existing BT phone service at renewal

If you have an existing contract, then the only way to do it, is by ringing up. Are you still in a contract, and how long has it got to run?

What broadband package to you have at the moment, as you may not be able to downgrade to the same price as a new customer.

All you can do is to call BT to see if they can offer a cheaper deal. They are often reluctant to allow the downgrading of a broadband package, but you may save a few pounds.
