Hi
my new broadband provider gave BT 2 weeks notice and my new services start on 19th March.
my monthly extortionate direct debit of £70 for landline and broadband come out of my account tomorrow (14th)
can I cancel my direct debit today and do without broadband for a few days or will they definitely refund me the balance post 19th?
thank you

Its not a good idea to cancel your direct debit, as when BT produce the final bill seven days after your service ends, any refund is paid back to that account, assuming you have no other services with BT, like mobile or email.
Have you received a "sorry you are leaving BT" type of notice?
Thanks for this. Yes an email to say sorry you’re leaving and that service will stop on 19th but no mention of refund etc TY
Wait for the final bill, and it will all be clear.
