The Ombudsman will still hear from me
Forgot to mention, it appears to have been fixed by making it a one step process instead of a two step process. ie only one passcode and not a second one to check the email.
I so pleased you have got some resolve but you should not have had to go through all this hassle with regards your account especially with someone who has been a loyal customer 1979 that is tremendous loyalty and is commendable. I wish you every success with your new provider
Thank you I will look into that, much appreciated
@Stevebyrne1 I appreciate this not what one would wish to read, but be under no illusion, loyalty means zero in 2026.
BT isn't the company it was in the last quarter of the 20th Century. Times have moved on, technology, how awful it might appear to some of a certain age, isn't going to change. I think the problem on this forum is that there definitely is a demographic who have literally stuck loyally with BT for decades and that won't change until they've all moved on. I read a post in another thread where the OP mentioned that their parent wouldn't leave BT because they had their pension with them. That says something about the naivety of customers. BT like all ISP's are a business, that's all there is to it.
That being said, when BT works, it works well. Well, I've personally never had any issues when I've been a customer of BT and the only reason I flip, is because of the appalling pricing that occurs once out of the new customer honeymoon period.
Gosh, so BT don't have any new young customers only old ones who have not moved on and pay for over priced packages.
Can you explain where you did your research that backs up your assertions.
@gg30340 That's not what I was saying and you know that. I was referring to perhaps the older demographic who are seemingly utterly loyal to BT some of whom are apparently unable to tear themselves away from the premier ISP known as BT. I'm pretty much guessing that most of the under 45 brigade couldn't care less and are happy to switch away when the costs become too ridiculous.
Mentioned it before, but in another thread way back, another customer apparently in his much older years, stated he couldn't care less how much he was paying, he wasn't concerned at all about the price of his package, as long as it all worked. That's what happens when you've got too much money and of course it really isn't much of anyone else's business.
We're never going to agree on much and by now, I thought you'd have learned to save yourself the effort of engaging with me as you know I genuinely don't actually care what you think of my posts. Good evening Sir.

.... and yet you reply to my post!
@gg30340 Yup, because you appeared to me at least, twist my post into something else to seemingly suit your own ends.
I'm sure before long, a Moderator will as seems usual with the way these threads end up going with personal taunts, end up being locked.
I was not taunting I was asking a question because you seemed so sure of your assertion.
