Can't close old account

Hi

I have an old Bt Sport account that I can't close. I cancelled Bt Sport and then signed up for Bt tv and broadband, however whenever I log in it reverts back to the old Bt Sport account rather than my new account. How do I cancel the previous now defunct account?
