Hi as a pensioner I have been looking to reduce my monthly expenses.
Had a landline for over 5 years that I have never used, been told that I don't need it for broadband connection was told at the time of purchase that I did.
Any packages that I could purchase to save money.

If you have a broadband and telephone package you could take out a broadband only package.
If you are still in a fixed term contract it might result in you having to pay cancellation fees so it may be best to wait until you are out of contract.
If you are out of he fixed term contract you just need to select a broadband only package and order that.
It was once the case that you needed a phone service to ‘host’ broadband but that’s not the case anymore, however don’t expect a massive difference in price between phone and broadband combined and broadband on its own …the list price difference is £5 a month , that gives you a phone number and the ability to make and receive calls , this is often reduced to between £2-£3 with a little negotiation , ….obviously that’s assuming you don’t pay extra for an inclusive calls package , which would have always been a waste of money if you don’t make calls .
