My mum has a BT broadband and landline contract until March 2026 but she has moved permanently to a care home as she is very unwell. I have lasting power of attorney and I’m trying to give the required 30 days notice on the account but I see there is a cancellation fee if she is in a fixed term contract. Is there anything anyone can do to help me with this?

You can try calling BT 0330.1234.150 Billing to see if they can help.
I have asked a forum mods to help. mods do not have account access but hopefully they can get you connected to someone that can help mods will post here
