Cannot Create a BT ID - apparent "technical issue"

Hi,

I began my broadband contract with BT two months ago. I've tried on multiple occasions to create a BT ID but I am always met with "We seem to have a technical issue, please try again later" when completing the final step of the BT ID creation process. When I enter my account number, it remembers the details from the order when I purchased the deal, but I cannot use them to create a BT ID!

I have tried creating a BT ID on multiple devices, over the course of multiple weeks, and cleared browser caches, cookies etc. 

This has been very frustrating because I cannot log in online to view my bills or cancel the mobile backup addon that I only wanted until the actual connection came online.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @chrislyford33, welcome to the forum and thanks for posting. 

I'm sorry that you're having trouble creating a BTID. Are you using an email address that may have been used for an old BT account you had in the past? 
Have you tried setting up the BTID with a different email address?
