Hi. I'm trying to order a BT Broadband package but after clicking on new customer and inputting all relevant package requirement details, the website keeps asking for an account number and I'm not an existing customer and there seems no way past this.. any help would be appreciated.. Thanks

Were you ever a BT Broadband customer at that address in the past?
If so try clearing your browser's history and cookies.

Yes I have been a customer in the past. But it was years ago, and I'm using a completely different computer now. Tried your suggestion but It has made no difference clearing the cash and trying again to order a broadband package using any browser Chrome, Edge or Firefox.. get stopped at asking for account number every time. thanks
As you have had a BT account at your current address then BT records will show you as an existing/previous customer so you need to phone CS 03301234150 and they should be able to help you place a new order
