Confused with availability

Hi

City fibre have finished the rollout in my local and are using existing BT ducting on my street for full fibre, woopee no messy patched up road/paving!

I checked for which ISPs provide the serice to me and the usual suspects come up, vodafone, youfibre etc all offering up to 1gbps packages. I am a BT customer currently on a 24mth contract using a fibre 2 package up to approx 50mbps at the moment. I desperately want to make the jump to full fibre so why is this not an upgrade option for me via BT?

BT Retail only use openreach and until openreach lay fibre in your area you will not get FTTP with BT Retail
