Credit Promised

Go to solution

Hi, BT Agent promised me a £65 credit.  It hasn't appeared in my account.  How long should I leave it before chasing? Previous credits have usually appeared within a couple of hours!

Thanks

What was this credit for?

Whenever I have received a credit / compensation for a failed appointment or protracted loss of service etc, I never actually saw it in my account, but it would appear as a "Credit" on my next bill.

Hi @PatrickB1, sorry you not seen the promised credit yet. Have you received a bill since the credit was to have been applied? If not it would show on the next bill.

Cheers

John

Re: Credit Promised

Hi,

Thanks for replies:)

I am between bills ( have received bill in my account but not due to be paid until 22nd. So hopefully it will show as a credit on my next bill! I had some time on my hands so phoned today. The thing that really bothers me is that there is no credit for that amount showing on any system at the moment! Today’s agent has left notes on account and says that if nothing happens phone again tomorrow!
Don’t know what to think. Did original agent just promise something he couldn’t deliver and that is why there is no record of any credit anywhere? If that is the case what should I do then ?

I know I’m impatient:)

Thanks

BT record their incoming calls, partly in case of potential disputes such as this.

If you do not receive the promised credit on your next bill, then call and raise a complaint. It will be very useful if you have the date and approximate time of the call where you were promised the credit, to help BT to isolate which of your calls to them to listen to, rather than all of them if there have been more than one.

Hi @PatrickB1 was the credit compensation for a fault or delayed order?

Thanks

Re: Credit Promised

Many thanks to everyone for their help and interest in my posts. I phoned this morning and asked to open a complaint.  Went through details. A note from original Agent was eventually found confirming what I said. But it was also confirmed that nothing had been done to action it and nothing would have been done. Today's agent immediately applied credit to next bill and it showed on my account almost immediately:) The credit was for  BT sport which I had been overcharged for since price increase and price restructuring.

Thanks once more with special to Paul for his advice:)
