Duplicate Billing -May 2025

I have received the following and think it may be a scam.

Can you qualify please….

Subject: PMT-82930422-MAY25.
Reply-To: ************

 

 

Important Notice: Duplicate Payment Detected

In the month of May, our system accidentally processed your BT bill payment twice. The payments were both made on 03 May for the amount of £60 each.

Although an automatic refund was attempted to your original payment method, it was not successful. We kindly ask you to claim your refund manually at your earliest convenience.

Of course its a scam. Look at the email address that sent it to you.

BT use BT email addresses.

You should remove the link you posted and your email address from your post.
