Fibre with BT Halo 3+ downgrade to Fibre 300 mid contract

Hi,

I currently have Fibre with BT Halo 3+ as my broadband at £81.45 a month, which is getting difficult to pay. My contract doesn’t end until February 2025.

Would BT allow me to downgrade to Fibre 300 at £34.99 while I’m still in contract, should I run it down or pay the exit fee.

I really am struggling with this.

Not sure anyone is going to be able to answer this here aside from pointing out that you are in contract which is there to protect both parties.

That Fibre 300 is the new customer price also so I doubt that would be available to you either even if you could downgrade after buying yourself out. Isnt the buyout the same as the remaining monthly fee anyway?

There may be some better experts on here than me that can perhaps advise what to do in situations like this when you literally cant afford something.
