From EE to BT

Go to solution

Hello,

I am relocating next month unexpectedly. I currently have an EE broadband contract for another year. The property I am moving to has BT broadband. Can you help me understand how straightforward this might be, any issues I might face or penalties? In other words, is a direct transfer possible assuming the seller keeps the BT "live" and without excessive charges? I need a lot of patience and understanding due to my disability. Thank you.

You'll just move your EE broadband & do a working line takeover, it doesn't matter who the current broadband supplier is

Unless you want to change your broadband to BT you just request a "Home Move" from EE and they do it all for you.

See link.

It's BT where I'm going. So, I can take my current EE contract with me and EE will do everything?

It's totally irrelevant what the service currently is at the new property.

You are not going to BT. The previous owner will stop his BT broadband when he moves so the house will not have any broadband until you move and if you decide to stay with EE using their Home Move process the contract you are presently on will be transfered to your new home and your EE broadband  will be working and will be the only one in the property.
