Full Fibre Broadband

Recently ordered Full Fibre.  I was asked did I needed my home phone to which I replied no.  My new order states "Digital Voice Home Phone", Pay as you go call plan? and they will keep my phone number ex directory.  Why is this if I asked to get rid of my home phone line?
