A couple of other tricks with Gmail:
[email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] all go to the same mailbox - periods are ignored.
You can also use plus-addressing e.g. [email protected] and [email protected] will go to the same mailbox too - so you could give every web site a unique version of your email address.
