Inactive account

Hi, I have returned to BT after having a previous BT account years ago. As I have signed back up with the same details, I now have 2 account numbers associated with MY BT. The inactive account always defaults and whilst I can use the drop down box in the billing part, it does not work in any of the other options (my services, usage etc). a small square appears below where the account number selection should be.

Also after having a few connection problems when it was first installed, the Bot on text message always associates my old bt phone number against my mobile number (i dont have landline with this new account number)

Can the old account number be deleted permanently from MY BT?
