Landline/E mail

My mother is 90 and unable to sort this herself. She is leaving her flat to live in a home. How do I cancel her phone line, for her, yet keep her BT e mail address?

Re: Landline/E mail

@davidgk

Unless you have Power Of Attorney, you would not be able to cancel it yourself, however if she is able to speak to BT and give permission for you to deal with it, then that is normally acceptable.

Her email would be downgraded to webmail, unless she pays £7.50 a month for BT Premium Mail.

Without any broadband, how is she going to get any email messages?

I will as a moderator to assist with this.

I do have PoA so I can go down that path if it’s easy
