Its seems stupid that I have to ask if i really have to do this, but basically my contract up, I want to stay with BT as they do a pretty good service and keep phone line / digital voice, emails etc it all seem easier to stay with BT.
But the best offer on Bt.com for the package I currently got is £50, for Full Fiber 100.
Now for new Customer it £29,
So I phone them about this and the best offer he could give me was £46 and nothing better, and that just a online deal for new customers. So I did say do i have to end my package, then the next day resign up to get this deal, he was silent and so i said well I have to think and phone back the end of week, if I have to do this, it completely stupid.
So by leaving and having no service for a day would I lose Phone no. Email etc? then have to resign up to them just get this deal or do think if i really said Im ending the contract then they would finally offer me this?
Has anyone else gone though this?
£50 for Fibre 100 doesn’t seem right. Are you sure there’s nothing else in your package?
Not that straightforward, as giving notice will cease the line. I believe that will prevent a new connection for around two weeks. You'll also lose your phone number.
You should keep your email, but only as a basic webmail account. No idea whether you could then "gift" it to the new account to regain full access.
Best bet may be to place an order with a competitor & then see if BT come back to you with a better offer.
Yep this is what I get,
Do you also have a landline or call package or add-on like Halo 3? If so you should certainly be able to remove this as part of a new contract. You will be without broadband for much longer than a day if you just terminate BT. Perhaps also compare EE or Plusnet new customer pricing.
What are you paying now?
How much is it going up to if you do not renew your contract and just go onto a 30 day rolling contract?
