How do I cancel my BT broadband & phone contract without penalties?
Ive tried a freephone number and response was confusing.
Also how do I find out my contract end date?
Any sensible help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can only cancel without penalties if you are out of fixed term contract.
You can only cancel by phone.
If you are moving to another supplier, you don't cancel with BT, you place an order with the new supplier and they do the rest.
To find your end date log on to my BT and click on your products/ broadband and it tells you there.
You can't leave penalty free if still in contract and the leaving fee is usually the remaining months. So if your contract ended in December you would pay your monthly fee x 4.

A little overly simplistic to say ETC is the just the same as what would be paid over the remaining number of months , it’s based on that but in this worked example of 4 months remaining and paying £35 a month ETC isn't 4x £35 so £140 , it’s less than half that at £67
@EurIng Why are you looking to leave BT, because there may be other circumstances where you can leave penalty free - if you fit the criteria!
