Moving house soon - moving from FTTP to FTTC

Go to solution

Hi,

We're currently on BT Full Fibre 150 with Digital Voice and we should be moving to a house soon where there's only FTTC available but Digital Voice is available.

Will we be able to move our current phone number of 40+ years over to the new address?

Will we be able to take the Super Hub 2 with us and will an engineer need to disconnect this from the ONT for us?

We're only 5 months into the 24 month contract - will BT automatically give us the top speed of up to 80 Meg at the new address?

Thanks

Paul

In theory you should have no problem retaining your digital voice umber when moving home lso with digital voice.  You can take SH2 with you just disconnect the cable that id connecting hub to the ONT - just an normal ethernet cable.

The connection speed of your broadband if on FTTC will depend on your distance your home is  from the street cabinet.  BT cannot just give you an 80mb connection on FTTC
