New Customer deals better than Personalised Existing Customer Deals

Hi,

At the moment, BT is offering Full Fibre 500 for 35.99 with phone included which is open on their main page as special offer. Because of the recent CPI changes, and that I only took up BT  Fibre 100 a month ago, the cost for my next bill is looking to be more than 36.

Personalised deals currently allow me to upsize my deal for more than this.

If I re-order for the special deal, do i have to pay off my current contract first or, like the personalised deals, just renew on a new 24 month contract?

If you rejoin as a new customer, you'll pay early termination on your current existing account which would wipe out any savings, you'll also have new setup costs and have to return old equipment.

When you mention you took up your contract a month ago was this after 1 March?

My understanding is that if you upgrade via your personalised offer you don't have to pay off your current contract but as you mention your new contract will be for 24 months.

yes i upgraded about 1 month ago. I know if i upgraded via personalised deals there would be no termination charge. I was unfortuantely caught out from upgrading the deal just before the CPI increase and so it was simply expensive.

Was about a month ago after 1 March if so then apparently the CPI increase won't apply to your current contact?
