New customer Refund

I recently signed up to BT Broadband and i was told they would need to take a payment of 20.00 before connection date  but it would be refunded within 7 days ?? I've received my first bill and I've been charged 9.99 connection fee but still no refund for the 20.00?

Sorry you've not received the £20. Was this a payment for equipment you had ordered or an upfront deposit before we would connect your service?
