Hello, I opened up a MyBT account the other day. No problem there. But after looking at everything in my MyBT account and getting everything set-up on it it was time to go to bed! But I was alarmed to find no logout option!
Please can someone show me where the logout option is.
I had to give up and my account eventually 'timed-out' and logged itself out, but that is not ideal. I believe accounts that are not logged out by the user can be hacked into.
How are you accessing your MyBT. Is it with a web browser or the MyBT app?
If a web browser you just hover your mouse over the "MyBT" button in the menu bar and a drop down box will open and in the far right you should see the log out option.
On the MyBT app click on the "more" button at the lower right hand side then scroll down and the log out is at the end of the list.
Hi @licquorice my mistake! Your screenshot looks good for a smartphone! It is in wide-screen which made me think it was a PC screenshot but you must have your phone landscape way round - that has given me a clue to help solve the problem!
After seeing @licquorice screenshot I put my phone landscape way round and selected 'MyBT' from the screenshot shown and I can now see the logout option.
It doesn't seem to appear in portrait mode but landscape mode does make it appear.
Oddly enough, I can see the Logout option when I use MyBT, but clicking it does not do anything - no "you are now logged out" confirmation screen. If I close the browser and then re-open it, it does however appear that I'm logged out, but it's rather odd behaviour.
@chrisjp Hi, before discovering the log-out option, I too noticed after closing the browser on the smartphone that that seemed to log me out even though I hadn't properly logged out. When I went back in expecting to still be logged in I was logged out.
But now that I've discovered the 'hidden' log out option I can now log out properly.
