I ceased being a BT customer at the beginning of May but I'm still receiving bills on a monthly basis even though the balance on the (old) account is now zero. I tried phoning BT after a couple of months to get them stopped but was told it was because there was small positive balance on the account. BT said they would stop after the refund had been made but this has been to no avail. Any suggestions?
I don't trust BT having been lied to in the past. I should just ignore the emails and bills but I wouldn't put it past them to invent some new charge then pursue me for it.
Did you ever use a free BT email address? chances are your email has been downgraded to free Basic email, which keeps the account active as it's a live service but generates no charges.
