Re: Account Cancelled Without Request

I commiserate with your experience yet it does not surprise me. As a frail person with a chronic medical condition. My line was recently moved to the voip nonsense without my consent. And without any welfare call to check all was in order

Since the line now appears to be ' out of use '. They have now closed my account One opened fifty four years ago.

For weeks I have been writing with ' consumer resolutions '. Who just delete emails without reading them. And respond with a ' script '  I form the impression BT has become a . " The answer is No. Whats the question firm ? "

Living alone, with no cell phone and limited mobility. I am at my wits end.

I have documented my entire experience to date. And placed it in an envelope on my living room mantlepiece. Where I sensibly keep my last will and testament. The envelope is addressed to HM Coroner.

Duplicates of both are also with my solicitor.

Re: Account Cancelled Without Request

I moved your post to start your own thread as the on you posted on was 2yrs old. This should help you get replies but if you are already dealing with the consumer resolution team I am not sure the forum can give help

Is your BT broadband still working? Have you connected your phone to the green socket on the back of your BT SH2 not the previous wall socket

You should have had notification from BT that you were being moved to digital voice  well in advance of the actual move

Re: Account Cancelled Without Request

Rather than giving a melodramatic  account of how you have documented your problem have you considered contacting BT by telephone on 0330.1234.150 or asking a friend or relative to contact BT on your behalf and reporting to a Customer Service person the problems that you have encountered and informing them that you need some assistance in getting your telephone working?

Re: Account Cancelled Without Request

You know ? I'm such a simpleton I never thought of that.
Would be interested how I contact BT by telephone when I have no working telephone and am housebound. Smoke signals ?
' Customer service ' people just delete my emails aithout reading and respond with scripted answers.
I have no relatives and my dear friends are busy reporting BTs depraved attitudes to as many agencies who will listen
I hope you find that helpful

Re: Account Cancelled Without Request

@80internettbhewlett

Smoke signals might work depending on the way the wind is blowing but it might be easier to have somebody who calls at your house, such as carers or who ever does your shopping etc, either let you use their mobile phone or make a call on your behalf or you could ask your solicitor that you left a copy of your woes with.

Obviously your friends are no friends if they are so busy reporting BT's "depraved attitudes" to take time out to help you make a simple phone call.

You could also take up the offer of help from the moderator.

I hope you find that helpful and that you get your problem sorted.
