Re: BT Broadband Offers

I have to say BTs “clock ticking” and “act now” emails have had me in stitches…. I thought it was a scam email at first

Having logged in and gone through the personalised offers

“Full Fibre 500 Halo3+” for £98.99 pm

or

“Full Fibre 900 Halo 3 Complete” for £102.99 pm

Or lock in what I’ve got for £47.99

I think 1Gig on city fibre for £25 is looking a much more realistic proposition.

Re: BT Broadband Offers

But there are it seems plenty of customers who are more than happy to pay a ridiculous amount of money every month year on year and that’s their choice. I remind myself of the rebuke from another forum contributor who stated they weren’t at all bothered about how much they were being charged as long as the product provided, worked. Must be lovely to have so much money that one can literally brag about it. So, is it stupidity? or is it just a case of mind your own business and let them get on with it 🤷‍♂️

Re: BT Broadband Offers

AHH. Ok. I just got converted to fttp by BT. I didn't ask for it but they done it. So I thought I'd look to see the actual fibre prices now that I'm on it. Fur context I feel im already on a high tariff on 74 / 20 at £48. I was shocked to see my offers for fibre 150 etc starting at £92, when likes of You fibre is about £25-£30.
Guess I'm moving in Aug when my contract ends.

They had the cheek to say that "I was being UPGRADED to full fibre for free" when they done this, so sort of half thought they'd maybe be sticking me on at least Fibre 150 at the time, til I asked the Openreach engineer and he says I was staying on same speed.

Outwith the "upgrade" those prices are terrible and like I say, looks like I'll be out come august.

Re: BT Broadband Offers

Today the prices on the website are back to sort of half those prices. Like 49 for 300 or 54 for 900, but this is still almost double what a new customer is being offered at either other places or on BT themselves.

Trouble for me is that I'm in contact till August but under pressure from family for more speed just now. Also seem to be tied to this Halo 3 **bleep** with the EE switch box thing that is in a cupboard as I get no EE signal worth even attempting to use here, plus in a way thankfully broadband never goes down anyway.
