Removing closed account from MyBT

Trying to delete old closed account from MyBT. Seems such a simple thing but apparently not possible to do it online yourself? I've tried 4 times this evening via live chat...each time have been thrown off before it's been resolved. Getting frustrated. Any help/advice out here?

Re: Removing closed account from MyBT

Hi @rogerg

Thank you for your post and welcome back!

I am sorry for the problems you're having removing the closed account from your MyBT profile.  I am disappointed to see that you have been disconnected from live chat trying to sort this out.

It would take us a few days to get round to picking this up and to be honest, the process is really straightforward to complete.  Do you want to try speaking with my colleagues in the helpdesk today?  You can reach them on 0800 800 150.

Let us know on here how you get on.  If you're still having problems we can pick up however I'm confident my colleague will help get you sorted.

Thanks,

Robbie

Re: Removing closed account from MyBT

I have the same problem.  I want to remove a closed account.  Speaking to BT on the phone I was told "If you can log in on your browser there is an option to remove the closed account".

I can see both my current account and closed account in https://my.bt.com/ but no clear place to do this on the Your Accounts page.

Any guidance appreciated.
