My ex husband and I are both named on the account. He however is the first named.
We are now divorced.
I’ve paid the bills and managed the account since he left but would like to get his name removed from the account and change back to a single account in my maiden name.
Is it possible to do this without having to close this account and start a new one?
And as there is no outstanding balance can I do it without having to contact him?
Normally there is only one account holder and if he was the account holder, although I could be wrong, I suspect that you will need to cancel that account and start a new one in your own name.
