Renew Broadband

My "Contract" expires in 3 weeks.  I keep getting BT letters on very thick paper that say nothing.  I seem to be being offered a renewal at about £4 a month less than I am currently paying with a set of things I don't want.  There seems to be no prospect of fibre to the premises.  All I want is broadband and telephone - I have a Smart hub, don't use much data on my Tescomobile account.  I might like faster fibre but there is no prospect of that.

So should I "renew" at the lowest price.  What happens if I don't?

Re: Renew Broadband

I've just checked my Bills.  I've been paying £9 for the 700 minutes package and £4.30 for message taking.  One month I reached 97 minutes - that's peak,  I make and receive very few calls; I have my mobile set to silent and use it only for apps and emails (and they are on Tesco).  So I can save £13 a month - hardly worth any bother.  Now if a full fibre connection were on offer...  Next door has CityFibre (with about 20 "providers") . Perhaps this is the time to leave BT as they have "no plans".

I'm 2 miles from Edinburgh city centre and OpenReach covers every street around here but not mine.

Re: Renew Broadband

Hi @gspearson

If the offer that you have been sent isn't right for you, I'd recommend getting in touch with one of our guides who can find a deal that will match your needs.

If you'd like to check the speed options that are available in your area, just head to our Broadband checker.
