Retention Offer

I was on the brink of switching to Sky Broadband due to the price difference between Sky and BT. As I was about to step forward, I received an email from BT saying they want me to stay and offered me a deal that I would accept. Clicking the link from my email took me to my offers page but the new price wasn't there, the old renewal price was. Is there a lag? Should I wait? Don't really have the time to call
