Social tariff

Go to solution

Hi, I've just found out about the Social Tariff - it's obviously a lot  cheaper than the package I'm currently on, but I was wondering if I would experience a noticeable loss of speed.

Currently I'm on Full Fibre Halo 3, so would dropping to the Social Tariff massively impact speed? We have a smart TV, a laptop and mobile phones; no gaming, and just two of us in the house, although at weekends the two grandkids do use their iPads.

Does anyone recommend transferring, or would it be a massive mistake?

Thanks in advance!

Any speed above 35Mbps would more than suffice with what you are using your broadband for so moving to the Social Tariff will be more than enough speed and will save you a small fortune.

Halo is just an expensive add on that most people do not need so if nothing else you should drop that when you renew your contract if you decide not to move onto the social tariff.

Re: Social tariff

I've bitten the bullet and migrated onto the Social Tariff......no noticeable drop of speed at all! The Customer Service Rep who took my order was really pleasant to deal with, and the whole thing was easy and quick.  It's literally halved my bill, too, so I'm more than happy!

Thank you both for replying to me, and thanks to BT as well.
