My new (renewed) BT broadband contract starts in 2 weeks time and under my current contract with BT I have all TNT Sport channels as part of the subscription and I access these through the Sky channels, 411 to 418'ish? I see the new contract detail states that I will have to access these through Now TV app (or EE TV?) - is that correct and if so,
how do I link it to my new TNT subscription with NOW TV? To confuse matters, no mention of EE TV was mentioned when I renewed, just NOW TV, but the confirmation email they sent after states only EE TV? I'd be grateful if anyone could shed any light on this as all I really wanted was to continue accessing TNT Sports thru Sky but I guess that isn't an option?
Hi @ar5enal1
From an app perspective TNT Sports is not accessed by the Now App.
TNT Sports and Eurosport channels can be accessed by the discovery+ App. (and also by the EE TV app depending upon package taken)
How did you renew/change your contract - did you do it yourself via MYBT or was it by telephone with a BT/EE guide or in an EE store ?
in your confirmation email what TV or Sports packages are listed ? For example EE TV typically has packages named Sports/Big Sports/Entertainment/Big Entertainment/Full Works ?
there is also a TNT Sports on Sky (for Bt Broadband customers) product.
Thank you Zulu17 for replying.
I renewed online via their BTs 'Chat' facility.
My confirmation email reads as follows:
" What's included in your TV pack
Watch exclusive Premier League games and the UEFA Champions League on all 4 TNT Sports channels. Includes discovery+ Premium, and Eurosport 1 and 2.
You'll also get:
|
Your EE TV Extras: |
|
Activate your discovery+ subscription As part of your EE TV package, you'll also get discovery+ included. If you haven't activated it already, just click the button below or go to bt.com/mybt to get started: | |

You can watch your partner content straight-away online or via the apps as soon as you've activated your subscriptions. You can also watch them on your TV box when it's set up.
Manage your EE TV
Once your EE TV is active, you can change your package, or turn off an extra, by visiting bt.com/mybt "
There's no mention of NOW TV you'll see, but that's the only option that ws mentioned on the Chat.
Does this help? Thank you
Hey there @ar5enal1!
Welcome to the BT Community Forums 😊
Based on what you've shared here, you've got our Sport package, so will be able to watch the TNT and Eurosport channels from 408 upwards the same way you do now.
As well as this, if you have Discovery+ included in your package, once registered you can watch TNT content through their app on the EE TV box, as well as on the go and from other devices that support the Discovery+ app too.
Peter
Thank you 'Peter_W'.
I do hope that you're correct and that I can continue to watch TNT on the usual Sky channnels under the new contract as that will make life a lot easier! I am also due to get a separate TV box which I'll use on another TV so like you say, I'll probably need to access Discovery + thru that to watch TNT Sport on there. Thank again for the advice.
Thanks @ar5enal1 😊
Keep us posted on how you get on here, and I hope you have a great weekend too!
Peter
@ar5enal1 Looking at the information supplied I concur with @Peter_W that you appear to have been placed on an EE TV box (Sport) package. Unfortunately that is not what I suspect you have currently which I believe is TNT sports on Sky for BT Broadband customers.
this page (note those are standard prices showing rather than offer prices)
I believe summarised the various ways that TNT Sports is offered with BT .
In your renewal discussion you seem to have been signed up to an EE TV Sport package rather than the TNT sports on Sky.
That is why you are being a sent an EE TV box (probably an EE TV Box Pro) to enable watching and recording the linear TNT Sports and Eurosport channels. With that EE TV Sport package you also would get the discovery+ premium subscription which would include the TNT sports and Eurosport live channels and ondemand content which could be watched on devices that have the discovery+ app (it is not necessary to have the EETV sport HD/4K add on to view HD/4K content on discovery+).
Hi Zulu17, yes that appears to be the case.
I am indeed getting a EE TV box as part of the package which will be useful so I can plug that into another TV and watch TNT Sports independent of the main TV where I can watch TNT Sports thru the Discovery + channel - that's the plan anyhow! We'll see how it pans out in a couple of weeks! Thanks again for the advice.
