My street has been deemed 'too rural' for OpenReach to install full fibre so we have grouped together and now have a quote for them to install the lines funded by the Government's Gigabit voucher scheme. Doing it this way means that I commit to setting up with a full fibre ISP within 2 months of the installation.
My question is that, if I am still in contract with BT for my current service and choose to remain with BT for my full fibre, do they then waive any commitment under my old contract? In other words I just switch to a new fibre contract rather than having to pay for 2 contracts in parallel?
