Will BT themselves talk with my older internet provider to terminate their services with me?

I've gotten my new BT broadband setup and working however my older router, from TalkTalk, is still working and has services. I was wondering if BT will do the termination of TalkTalk's services with me, or I have to do it manually? They themselves said they will do the switch for me however it's been almost 2 days after the service activation and nothing has been terminated yet.

Are you switching from TT FTTC  To a new BT FTTP package?

Did you just place your order with BT and were you posting your phone number?

If your BT connection is live then done correctly your existing connection with TT should have been terminated

From other posts if you switch ISP and FTTC  TO  FTTC then in your case BT would notify TT that they are taking over your line but that does not appear to happen when change is FTTC to FTTP and you need to notify TT yourself
