Wrong name on account

I signed to bt last month. I noticed on bt app it was still in ex partners name he had bt years ago.

I called and was ensured this would be rectified on Tuesday past. I just logged on and this months bill my first is in my ex partners name. 

Called again to be told it was rectified. 

This is a data breach surely as ex hasn't been here for 5 years.

Getting nowhere

Hi @Jamiesmaw, sorry an incorrect name is appearing on the bill. It's probably caused by the old account. I'm sorry it wasn't rectified when you called.

Hi I have a similar issue where my name has been updated by some gibberish words and they say it cannot be backdated. Is there anyway the name can be corrected in previous bills?

It is not possible to go back and correct previous bills. 

Has our customer care team updated this for you now?
