Xbox Game Pass Ultimate - "System is down for maintenance"

Hi there,

I've just upgraded to Full Fibre 900 with Halo+ and am apparently eligible for 12 months of GPU, however when I try to click the 'Add Now' button under the Content Partner section of My BT, I get the following error message:

"We're sorry the system is down for maintenance, you can submit your activation request by calling us on 0330 1234 150 choose option 1 and then option 2."

I've seen that this is a fairly common issue on these forums - is someone able to assist me in resolving it, please? I don't want my eligibility to expire.

Also, I assume it doesn't matter that I'm already an existing paying GPU subscriber directly with Microsoft?

Hi, @schmurnan Have you called the helpdesk number on the error message? They will be able to put through your claim. 

It doesn't matter that you already subscribe and your existing pass will stack and when the free one finishes your own subscription will continue.

Hi @NeilO, yes I called the number and I was asked for the email address associated with my Game Pass account, as well as my Xbox Gamertag. It was a very bad line so I'm hoping the agent captured it correctly.

But I was told an escalation has been submitted and I'll receive something within the next five working days. But with no confirmation that my email address or Gamertag were captured correctly, and the clock ticking on when this offer expires, I'm literally crossing my fingers.

Hi @NeilO, five working days have passed and I still don't see Xbox Game Pass added to my Microsoft account, and the option to redeem is still available under My Products in My BT (but it won't let me redeem it, says "Unable to process your request, please try again").

Are you able to assist here, please?

It can take the Microsoft/Xbox team longer than normal to reply at the moment.
