Hi
I've recently moved to BT and despite having the BT Wifi app, I can't connect to the EE wifi on London Underground stations.
It just asks for username and password, and my BT ones don't work.
My girlfriend who is also with BT can connect just fine. Her phone connects automatically. We both have iPhones.
Any ideas, please? It's incredibly frustrating.
Thanks
What credentials are you using? Should be the one's you use to log into MyBT.
@Jarndyce See here on how to connect https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/manage-use/using-phone-features/wifi-on-the-london-underground
Do you have a BT/EE SIM in your iPhone? If yes it should connect automatically.
Scratch what I said, looks like it doesn't use the BT/EE app.
@Jarndyce I assume your girlfriend has an EE SIM as she connects automatically? I've connected automatically with a BT SIM in an iPhone.
The link I gave above Says:
How do I connect to WiFi Coverage Boost?
Only devices with compatible EE SIMs can access the London Underground WiFi using EE WiFi hotspots. Follow the set-up instructions for your device below
So I would assume from this it's only available to mobiles with BT/EE SIMs. You could ask for clarification on the EE Community
Thank you, but that’s not correct.
EE and BT are going through a rebranding process, and my understanding is that the BT WiFi spots are now labelled EE.
I know several people who are BT customers but with non BT or EE sims who can use the underground WiFi.
@Jarndyce That was my assumption and why I suggested posting on the EE Community for clarification.
Who are the providers of the non BT/EE SIMs that can connect?
Edit: Are they connecting to EE WIFi-Auto or EE WiFi
