BT Fon: Hub says not a member but MyBT says I am?

So which is right?  Cannot see how to activate it on my as it only takes me to MyBT which tells me it is already active.  Confused am I.

I am no longer seeing BT Fon as an available wi-fi network when at home which seems to have happened in the last week or so.

As far as I am aware, BT FON has not existed for a long time.

BT FON became BT Wifi iirc and now BT Wifi has been renamed to EE Wifi

Re: BT Fon: Hub says not a member but MyBT says I am?

Just found this entry in the log of my hub which is the last entry for the BT WiFI category. What gives?

03:04:17, 31 Jan. (432036.950000) BT WiFi disabled via TR69

Re: BT Fon: Hub says not a member but MyBT says I am?

Been accessing BT/EE Wi-Fi hotspots while out and about this week so I can use other peoples' but no-one can use mine.

Just a thought that I am still using the original HH2 I was supplied with many years ago but do have a newer model that came with a replacement Youview box a couple of years back. Now the MotoGP season is finishing will swap them over next week and see if that makes a difference as well as stopping the occasional wi-fi / broadband drop out that I get needing a power reset of the HH2.

If you are out of contract it might be worth recontracting to see if you can get a better price as well as a Smart Hub 2,  The Home Hub 2 is very very old and depending on what hub they sent with the Youview Box its likely a Homehub 6 or Smart Hub 1

Re: BT Fon: Hub says not a member but MyBT says I am?

I am not out of contract. I think the newer box is an HH6. What does an SH2 offer me that I don't get with an HH2 or HH6? Apart from the occasional drop out many days apart the HH2 does everything I want it to.

The question is does using the HH2 mean that it no longer offer a BT Wi Fi hotspot to passers by. Not that it was much use to them anyway as my house is set back from the road and I lose wi fi connectivity as I soon as I leave my part of the shared driveway.
