I find the BTApp allows me to roam and use BTwifi without having to log in each time.

Yep, that's the point of the app, it just automates the login process.

Exactly. It works for me that way too but unfortunately the app works only on the iPad not a MacBook and it’s the latter that I want to be able to use with the same sort of reliability.
