Re: CHANGING TO NORTON FROM McAFEE

I finally got Norton to install (after the third time) I'm not impressed with it though. Interface is poor. I can't find individual secure file shredder (which was included with McAfee) and the program asks too often for user to restart computer .

Re: CHANGING TO NORTON FROM McAFEE

I put it on my Android phone and, apart from a proliferation of notifications which required turning off, it seems to be working fine. It certainly shouldn't keep requesting restarts, sounds like you would be better off with AVG or Avast both of which are highly rated and  (better still) - Free

Re: CHANGING TO NORTON FROM McAFEE

Again, many thanks for your suggestions which have been much appreciated - I will try a few more changes, deletes and downloads and if nothing happens I think I just have to accept that there is something 'deeply ingrained' in my tablet which Norton has found and which cannot be removed!
As the tablet is getting on a bit I think I will say goodbye to it, before it says goodbye to me - although my wife cannot understand how I've kept my patience with it for the last week or so!!
