Hey @Gazzab1978.

I've just given this a test myself, and via my browser it's definitely giving me the option to switch on, then switch off again.

It definitely said 'this will be switched off within 2 hours' on the second occasion too.

Have you tried using a different device and browser to request this? If you don't have the option to do so, logging in from a private browsing window with no cached data can be worth trying too.

I still don't understand your need to be turning the WiFi on and off.  I also think you may be misunderstanding the role of BT Web protect - it's not an adult filter, it's a malicious site filter which not all 18+ sites are!

You do have the options for parental controls elsewhere in the router security, but these don't make for great babysitters!

The turning off the wifi and using the data on my device i don't have any restrictions of any websites as soon as I turn my WiFi back on it will block 18+ sites ect the bt app wont turn off web protect and parental controls or even turn them on

Does that make sense to you

How do you know it is Web Protect blocking the sites?

Has Web Protect informed you that it has blocked the sites?

Do you have any browser addons or any antivirus/ anti malware installed that could be blocking the sites?

That's Google's Safe Search, built into the Google browser, it has nothing to do with the BT app/web setting!!!!

As has been pointed out Googles  "Safe Search" is not the named product  "BT WebProtect" and as such it has nothing to do with BT.

If you do an Internet search of "Safe Search" you will find out how to turn it on and off.

I understand what your saying i have googled it ive been through goggle settings ect for a while now

I only can turn it off when my device isn't connected to the WiFi

As soon as I connect my device to the WiFi even when I turned it off through 5g ect it will lock safesearch and I cant change it and it gives me that message what I posted above

I think it's something I'm just going to have to live with like someone said in earlier post it's not a bad thing is it
