Missold Hybrid Connect?

Go to solution

We were suggested over the phone to get broadband with Hybrid Connect due to the landline only offering up to 3Mbps due to the cabinet being full. However, I am concerned that Hybrid Connect appears to only work as a failover. So to get the faster 4G speeds, we would have to have the landline always unplugged. Is this correct, and were we missold? If we did have the landline always unplugged purposefully, would this be in breach?

Hi @nwxh welcome to the community and thanks for your post. The Hybrid connect service is designed to work when you lose broadband connection. If you disconnect the Home Hub from the line it will come on and possibly give you a faster speed.

Can you enter your number or address into this broadband availability checker and we'll take a look at what broadband services are available?

Thanks

Neil

Thanks for the reply. Presumably if we keep it disconnected we'll be in trouble as the cost is less than pure 4G broadband. We would have FTTC but for lack of space in cabinet apparently but two other providers but but business (but not home) offers it. So I think we should cancel the hybrid connect.

Engineer is coming Wednesday but not sure if we should cancel in favour of one connecting it to FTTC etc.
