Parental Controls only work on PC, but not mobile devices

BT parent controls and web protect are enabled.

test sites are blocked on PC, but access is allowed via mobile devices.

Tried deleting cache and rebooting the router.

Please help

If you are using mobile data, then the settings are separate.

Then its possible that the mobile device is not using BTs DNS servers, or is using  encrypted DNS.

What devices are affected?

mobile devices for both IOS and android, I dont have icloud+ subscription

If those devices are not using BTs DNS servers for some reason, then the controls will not work.

If the devices are connecting to a different wireless access point which has its own DNS settings, then that would also cause a problem.

do you know I how to check if they are using BT DNS servers?

my mobile is connected to the bt wifi, gateway says 192.168.1.254

Solved it.

Under phone android settings/connections and sharing/private dns

this was enabled automatically, switching to off solved the issue

That is just the gateway address. Its the DNS server address which is important, as that also need to point to 192.168.1.254.

Any sort of VPN installed, would affect the controls.

Nothing else I can suggest.
