Public Wi-fi opt out loop

Hi All,

I have newly installed fibre and I am trying to opt out of the public wifi, I cant seem to do this on the profile, it just gives me to option to "set up now" but my router shows the public section as active, I just want to turn this off but cannot find anywway?

I have tried a few browsers but no luck.

Re: Public Wi-fi opt out loop

The "Public Wi-Fi" Opt in is the default on your new Hub.

You could try "Set-up Now" (even though you are Opted in) and wait for a couple of hours then you should get the option to "Opt out" in your profile.

Once Opted out, it could take 48 hours or longer to show up in your hub.

Re: Public Wi-fi opt out loop

Thats the problem though, if i click "agree to terms" and then the "setup now" button it doesnt do anything, it just loops back to the original page for me to tick them again.

Tried it on 3 browsers, my phone and a tablet.

Re: Public Wi-fi opt out loop

12 days later and still no opt out? Surely this is a simple request, why does it take so long?

Re: Public Wi-fi opt out loop

Hi @Tster,

As @DavidM made you aware, it can take up to 30 days for it to be fully turned off. I can understand that it's not ideal for you but this is how our systems have been set up to manage it.

Thanks
DanielS
