Hello, I have always been opted out but in my router settings it says this is active, are you please able to deactivate? It’s not active on MyBT. Thanks
this is a customer help customer forum and you post does not go to BT. you need to sign in to MYBT and you can opt out from BTWIFI there
Have you changed your router since the last time you opted out?
Years ago, I found that the opt out on MyBT seems to be tied to the actual router, (presumably by serial no or MAC address). I had to replace the router one time and it turned itself back on again even though MyBT said it was off.
If you have a separate wireless point, you could turn the hub wireless off altogether. This now kills the public WiFi.
Thank you come to think of it I have had a new router so that maybe the reason. I assume I need to contact BT to deactivate, many thanks
you should be able to do that yourself by going to MYBT or first setting up MYBT then making the changes you should have MYBT as that holds a lot of information about your account and package
Thank you I have MyBT but the public WiFi is opted out so doesn’t show as an option other than to opt back in!
it can take a while after you opt out for it to turn off in HUB you can always opt in and tomorrow opt out and see if that works any faster

Opt in and then opt out again.
