Re: Wi-Fi Access to 5 million BT Hotspots!

Sorry- my mistake - it's the WiFi SSID that's called EE Wifi, and which has replaced the SSID BT WiFi.
When you go to this SSID, the instructions are a bit confusing and I can't check them at the moment because where I am there is no EE WiFi.
You have to select the appropriate login option (and this is where it's a little confusing) and then use your BT credentials to login. Unlike the old BT WiFi you have to login every time you want to use an EE WiFi hotspot (thanks for this "improvement" BT!)
If redls's credentials are not being accepted, it might be worthwhile selecting another one of the login options.

Thank you, I will have another go..,. re EE demanding a login everytime, that has always bee the case, which is why I avoided it on the old phone like the plague! At least I think I have the right email for my Samsung account, so that might make things easier.

Thanks @redls, you're absolutely right that this usually requires a log in each time.

You should be able to do this without the need for a dedicated app too, as the relevant login screen should pop up when you select the network or visit a web page.

As long as you're selecting BT Broadband rather than BT Business, and put in the same details you do for My BT, then you should be good to go 😊

Thanks, it seems the loss of the old phone has messed up my details, so what was our user names/password have got a bit mixed up, but I will persevere

Thanks @redls, your login details shouldn't be affected by a device change, but I appreciate a lot of people will have these saved, or use password managers.

If you continue to struggle though, you can reset your My BT Password here:

I'll try that, though earlier, it asked for the previous password!

Thank you so very much! Just tried that and was able to log on... Now I will have to check that I remember the password and tyr not to hit a wrong key when inputting, which is not always easy with my hands!
