Hi does anyone have any idea why my iPhone will not connect to bt hotspots
I installed the connection profile and went into phone settings like it said and installed it then it said done
yet in my settings on iPhone on vpn and device management it says geo trust certificate expired on may 22nd and in the profile it says not verified but I installed it and followed all instructions and it said done , any help would be appreciated as my won’t connect to hotspots
Solved! Go to Solution.
See link about how to use the BTWifi app.
Getting started with the BT Wi-fi app | BT Help
You do not need to use the app. You can connect by connecting to the BTWifi signal then opening a web browser at the BTWifi landing page. Click on the "Log on now" and select the option BT Broadband and enter you details there.
See link and in particular the "How to log onto BTWifi hotspot"
Get wireless Internet | Find wi-fi hotspots | BT Wi-Fi (btwifi.co.uk)
Even if you want to use the app rather than a web browser it might be worth trying that way to ensure that you are registered to use BTWifi.
Thank you
Is it a persistent error message and an iPhone by any chance
if so it’s a privacy setting
go to network settings and turn off the hide my identity type settings
Yes it is 🤔
try turning these controls off apple doesn’t like it but I never got the message again and I connect every time I’m out
Thank you I’ll give it a try
